On Sunday (May 7th), I was honored to have the opportunity to deliver the message at a friend's church: Faith Center in San Fernando, CA. The message that was on my heart was "Shalom in the Storm" from Acts 27.27-44. The message was more specifically about the "storms" of relational conflict. But, Pastor Rudy also wanted the church to hear my story. So, I began the message telling some of the story of how Jesus rescued me as a 17 year old gang-member and the journey of faith I've been on ever since.
